A free study library for UPSC Civil Services Prelims.

Find a question. Check your answer.

Open UPSC, then search or select a year. Use More filters to choose a paper or find saved questions. Select Show answer whenever you are ready. Revealing an answer does not count as a practice attempt.

Practise a little at a time

Practice uses your current filters. Choose 10, 25 or all matching questions. Accuracy counts answered questions only; skips do not lower it. Retry wrong answers from your results. Bookmarks and answer history are saved in this browser, without an account. They do not sync across devices and can be removed by clearing this site's browser data.

What is available?

UPSC includes 1,600 GS-I questions from 2011–2026 and 32 paper entries. CSAT is available through its paper and key links only. Not every question has a worked explanation.

Understand the answer labels

Provisional key
An answer may change. These questions can be practised, and the provisional label stays visible.
Archived key
The answer comes from an archived copy or transcription. Open the linked source to check it.
Final key
The source dataset labels this key final. This label does not mean we independently verified an official key.
Dropped or unverified
These questions are excluded from scored practice.
Damaged transcription
A notice appears when characters are missing from the question text. The question and source link remain available, but the question is excluded from scored practice until corrected.

Check the original source

UPSC papers from 2016–2026 link directly to the original scans on upsc.gov.in. Select Official UPSC paper PDF on a question or paper page; it opens in a new tab. Older papers use labelled archived mirrors. Booklet question order may differ, so compare the question text when checking a scan. Online question transcriptions and answer keys retain their own source labels.

UPSC scans are linked rather than rehosted. UPSC's website policy requires permission for reproduction and acknowledgement of the source. A link to an official paper does not establish reproduction permission or verify a third-party answer key.

PYQ Library is an independent AppCradle project. It is not affiliated with UPSC or the Government of India. Paper and answer-key rights remain with their respective owners. External source links may move or become unavailable.

Found an issue?

Use a question's Share button to copy its exact link. Keep that link and the source paper handy when comparing an answer. If questions fail to load, use Retry or open the source paper; the paper archive remains readable without JavaScript.
